This is where you will find what WWRM (WWII Families for the Return of the Missing) is working on and progressing forward in the WWII MIA Accounting Community:
WWRM is working archival research and helping families by providing much needed documentation such as IDPF (Individual Deceased Personnel Files), MACR (Missing Air Crew Reports), and other pertinent documents needed to find resolution for their loved ones. If you need documents, or connections with researchers please contact us.
WWRM is running a DNA Campaign by working in conjunction with the Service Casualty Offices in locating family members associated with the Missing from WWII and collecting DNA to input into a National DNA Database to help streamline the identification process. If you are a family member of a missing soldier from WWII and have not provided DNA please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or if you know of a family please have them contact us
WWRM is working with the families of the USS Oklahoma in an effort to have the remains of 22 men buried as unknown exhumed from the Punchbowl in Honolulu, Hawaii. We are hopeful the remains will be exhumed, identified and returned to the families for proper burial. If you would like to join these efforts please contact us at email@example.com and we can provide you with a sample letter to send to your US Congress person.
WWRM is involved in the 8308 Working Group – this is a group of the family members and subject matter experts in trying to locate missing aircraft C-47 43-48308.
WWRM is working with a researcher in Italy on WWII Missing in Italy – please contact us if you have a loved one missing in Italy.
